Biography
Ramesh Baskaran is a Network Management Systems Support Programmer. Ramesh first joined Janet in 2011 as a Measurement and Monitoring Developer in the Strategic Technologies division to develop an SNMP monitoring tool for the Network Planning group. Following the success of the project, Ramesh moved to Network Operations group as NMS support programmer to further develop the tool.
Abstract
Capacity Planning Tool
The Capacity Planning Tool (CPT) is an SNMP based network monitoring tool, it's mainly used by the Capacity Planning team for the collection of traffic statistics in order to build traffic models and long range forecasts for Core and Regional circuits. The CPT is built by using a variety of open source tools. We are also looking to incorporate flow-monitoring data in the future.
